Resources for the protection of children and youth, victim/survivor assistance now available in seven languages

Tuesday, August 18, 2015

Several new translations of the brochures “How to Report Suspected Abuse and Neglect” and the “Victim/Survivor Assistance” are now available online. These important resources are offered in seven languages: English, Spanish, French, Korean, Hmong, Vietnamese, and Polish.

The “How to Report Suspected Child Abuse and Neglect” brochure provides a clear outline of the reporting process—including the critical first step of contacting local law enforcement with any case of suspected abuse of a minor—as well as helpful resources.

The “Victim/Survivor Assistance” brochure promotes healing for victims/survivors of sexual misconduct in Church ministry and their loved ones.

Make sure to check SafeCatholicSPM.org often for new resources for the protection of children and youth, including useful links and an FAQ on what the Church is doing to ensure the safety of children, youth and vulnerable adults.
