I. Purpose
This policy states the requirements for an existing Catholic school seeking to make a Significant Change.
II. Definitions
“Archdiocese” means that certain corporate entity formed, maintained and existing under Minnesota Section 315.16 with the Minnesota Business Name: “The Archdiocese of St. Paul and Minneapolis”.
“School” means a primary school or a secondary school within the Archdiocese Territory that is Archdiocese-recognized as Catholic.
“Significant Change” means a major expansion, modification, or reduction of services provided by existing Catholic schools or a change in an existing school’s geographic location, name, governance, or mission statement.
III. Policy
All Catholic Schools in the Archdiocese are required to follow the Process for Significant Change as outlined by the Office for the Mission of Catholic Education.
