Documents Posted: Independent, External Audit of the Archdiocese’s Safe Environment Policies and Procedures

January 5, 2018 – An independent, external audit of the Archdiocese’s Safe Environment policies and procedures was conducted and it found that the Archdiocese is in substantial compliance with the Ramsey County Settlement Agreement. The required report was submitted in Ramsey County District Court today by representatives of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis, including Archbishop Bernard A. Hebda and director of the Office of Ministerial Standards and Safe Environment, Judge Tim O’Malley. Continue reading

Statement Regarding Richard Jeub

November 29, 2017 – Richard Jeub was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis in 1966. In 2002, he was removed from ministry due to allegations against him of sexual abuse of a minor. He has sought dispensation from the obligations of the clerical state, commonly referred to as “laicization.” Continue reading

October 20, 2017 – From Archbishop Hebda: I have accepted the recommendation of the Archdiocesan Ministerial Review Board (MRB) and the Director of the Office of Ministerial Standards and Safe Environment to return Father James Devorak to ministry in the Archdiocese of Saint Paul and Minneapolis. Update On Case Involving Rev. James Devorak

September 1, 2017 – The Glencoe Police Department notified the Archdiocese that it completed its investigation into a recently revealed allegation of sexual abuse of a minor said to have occurred in 1994, when Father James Devorak was serving as a priest in the Diocese of New Ulm. Continue reading
